This place is like a mini Costco but with an excellent produce department. I can find items here that I can't find at any other chain grocery store. Their prices are excellent too! In addition to great produce, they also have restaurant supplies, a better than average assortment of dry goods and the best frozen shrimp for the price point! Check it out... You won't be disappointed!

First time in. We're here from Illinois working and stopped. Loved the store! Got a great deal on Pendelton Whiskey and then came back in with my hubby n got several other things. The gentleman working by the meat department showed us how to sign up for the app on our phone , WHILE HE WAS ON BREAK! I was a produce manager for 40 years, he went above n beyond n that is what customer service should be like! He was so up beat and happy! What started as a simple trip to purchase a few items turned into one of the most frustrating and disrespectful customer service experiences I have ever endured. I found myself standing at cashier #2, where Joseph was assisting a customer ahead of me. The customer was facing an endless series of credit card issues—tapping the card failed, inserting it failed, and after what felt like an eternity of repeated attempts, nothing worked.
After 15 agonizing minutes of waiting—an unreasonable amount of time by any standard—I could no longer justify staying in line. Frustrated, I picked up my items and muttered, “This is ridiculous.” To my utter shock, Joseph’s response was not one of understanding or an attempt to resolve the issue, but instead, he arrogantly remarked, “If you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else.” Seriously? What kind of response is this? Who does he think he is talking to a customer in this way?
To say I was taken aback would be an understatement. A manager—someone who is supposed to set the standard for customer service—told me, a long-time customer of over 20 years, to simply leave if I was dissatisfied. When I moved to Nora’s register to complete my purchase and asked to speak to the store manager, Joseph again boldly declared that he was the manager and once more repeated, “If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.”
In my entire life, I have never encountered such blatant disregard for customer care and respect. The situation escalated to a level that was simply inexcusable. Even Nora, who was courteous and helpful, apologized on Joseph’s behalf, clearly aware of how inappropriate his behavior was.

This entire interaction left me furious, frustrated, and insulted. Is this how Smart & Final now treats its loyal customers? I can only hope this is not the standard of service you are willing to accept. If he is not happy at his job he should leave!

The workers at this store are amazing. Marcus took my order over the phone and tracked down an item for me in less than a few hours. Nora checked the system for the item. What a team! Marcus is all about customer service and incredibly helpful regardless of what you are looking for. I highly recommend the Palm Springs Smart and Final. Need something you can't find. Ask for Marcus!

Great selection. Produce was excellent. Got everything we needed in one stop. They even have of decent selection of beer and liquor if you need.
Talked with three different staff members and they were all very friendly and helpful.
