I cancelled my membership because of this.

They have the wrong price tag on the item, and the shelf. I got charged a higher price. The CS in there does not even send someone to check the tag, instead she challenged me "where the proof is" I took 2 pictures and I showed her. She is like no, it's another price on the system.

Ok fine, it was not the first time. In the past, they sent someone to check the tag and refund the difference. This time, she just blamed me for giving her a problem. I refunded everything that I purchased from there. And I cancelled my membership. Bye BJ.

Today, I went shopping at BJ’s, and when I got to the register, they usually scan the items directly from the shopping cart, as they’ve been doing for the past eight years. However, today there was a cashier at the register who did not represent BJ’s well. She rudely told me, “You need to put these here,” in an unprofessional manner. The customer before me also experienced the same issue.

I asked her, “What’s your problem today?” during the process, as she was sending voice messages on her phone while working.

When I requested to speak to a manager, Tommy D. came over. Even though I had two young children with me, he spoke very rudely and even used profanity, saying, “If you don’t like it, don’t come here.” He was worse than the cashier!

Later, I approached him again to ask for a higher-level manager, and he said, “I’ve been the manager here for four months, and I’m the boss. There’s no one else above me. You can leave.”

The previous manager was much better. To make matters worse, the cashier even asked me, “Are you even able to afford this amount?” which is absolutely unacceptable.

I believe both Tommy D. and the cashier should be terminated immediately. Please review the camera footage to confirm this unacceptable behavior. This kind of service does not suit BJ’s reputation. Never again!

We got a BJ’s membership over a year ago because Costco is such a nightmare to shop at. BJ’s inventory isn’t on par with Costco but it’s pretty great for basic daily stuff.

We never had much issues here before - rarely had to wait long in line and parking was fine, though we usually come early. Lately it’s also a hassle to come especially over this past holiday season. There’s like one working elevator so while there’s ample parking on the second floor, we had to think of a game plan to shop if we parked there. Today, we decided to stick to our minimum list - if I knew I could easily get a cart to second floor, I probably would have bought more. We used self checkout line and waited behind someone else near registers (no one else behind us). Then this BJ employee snapped at us to back up from the register to give that customer room (she had plenty of room). Then yelled at someone else to wait in the self checkout line building up by the shopping tables.

1) This lady clearly has been working here too long and is jaded. I get it, I’ve been there. Still not ok to talk to people like that.

2) If BJ’s has designated where the check out line begins, maybe put up a sign somewhere? If there’s not already a line there, it’s not clear. We don’t often use self checkout so we aren’t used to it.

Costco Instacart is looking like a better option these days.

While they are at a convenient location and have great view on 3rd floor parking lot, they suck. Always long line and lack opening of registers. When you have an issue and try to cal member services they do not pick up or literally picks up and hang up on you. Out of basic items quite often too. As well as not many choices. Some stuff are actually more expensive than places like target. Groceries are often rotten. No I do not open every bag and pick them out. The picture is of a lady that cut in front of the line when everyone is waiting, and when confronted she gave you that look which I got a snap shot of. If everyone is politely waiting in line, please do so also. Our time is just as precious as yours.

I shop this club frequently, at times weekly or even daily depending on what's happening or if I have company visiting etc. The optical department is very friendly, I believe her name is Anna and there is also a gentleman there that always greets me as well. There is also a tall trinidadian guy who is always nice and helpful. For th most part however, the staff isn't always as friendly or helpful but I want to recognize the optical department as well as, the gentleman that's usually at self check out. Furthermore, I would like to recognize Richie, for his help and assistance and being so friendly. The other day I went in to buy garden soil and the bags were very low to the floor and he helped me out and placed it in the cart. At first when I went to ask for help I thought I'd have to come back with help but Richie definitely went out of his way to assist me and I'm so thankful for that because it went a long way! So shopping again at the bjs club today I saw Richie and I made sure to tell him hello but I just want to recognize his efforts and hard work and thought I'd leave this review to say a special thank you.

As I come to write this review, I'm noticing one thing. Looks like we have a lot of racism at this club. (Look at all the negative reviews.) So I brought a whole bunch of Bluey books for my daughter in July for her birthday in December which I hid in my attic. (I didn't want them to run out of Bluey books.) Come to December, my daughter gets the books from her grandparents who purchased the books as a bundle from Sam's club. I look up the return policy and it says general merchandise is 1 year returns. So I attempt to return the books where I purchased them. The customer service rep said she wasn't sure if she could accept the return so she would get the manager. Another rep kept jumping in and saying no, no, no its past 90 days. The manager comes and the rep that was handling another customer, stops to interject and insisting to Manager that they cannot be returned. I presume the rep and Manager must be friends because I was told I could not return the books. I informed them the app and website say nothing on book returns and general merchandise is 1 year. Another customer whose waiting for her rep to come back from Manager actually looks uncomfortable because that rep and the Manager are so rude. The customer service rep that was assisting me actually said "I'm sorry to me." I told her that her "friend and Manager " are super rude. I call corporate BJ's and they AGREE with ME. I was informed that books fall under general merchandise and are returnable under 1 year. I can guarantee you if I was a different ethnicity, I would have been able to return the book. CORPORATE BJ's actually told me to go to another BJ's warehouse to RETURN the books!! Can you imagine? So the customer is always right doesn't apply at Bj's apparently, especially in this instance, when the customer is right!! So be forewarned, BJ's DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WRITTEN RETURN policy. Oh and to the rasict customer service rep and Manager, karma will bite you in the ass.

Go up
