Called in while in the area for a warm drink and a bite to eat on a freezing cold day in January.

It appears this place is under New Management and the welcome I received was warm, friendly and chatty.

I chose to have a Meatball & Cheese Panini which came with coleslaw and crisps on the side (this is making my tastebuds dance again just thinking about its delicious taste)
As a Carrot Cake lover I couldn’t resist a slice, there are a few variation recipes for Carrot Cake but in my opinion this was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, soo fresh, light and with a perfect amount of moistness. (Again my taste buds are dancing just thinking about its tase)

All washed down with a perfectly tasting Latte.

A good find in a beautiful area with great food served by a friendly welcoming couple.

Oh and I noticed it’s also a Dog Friendly Cafe where dogs are made as welcome as their owners.

I will most certainly be back again.

There is also a B&B within the premises too.

Eloise Hill

Stayed in this b&b for two nights, the first morning was lovely but was unfortunately ruined the second morning of our stay as the owners were extremely rude and unwelcoming. The four of us that were staying all felt that she had been rude and abrupt with us throughout the morning as she had made no effort for conversation except to tell us that we had to be gone by 11 in a very rude manner, followed by her checking her watch multiple times and giving us dirty looks, bearing in mind this was 10am so an hour before checkout. When my partner approached her to say goodbye and to thank her she did not say anything back to him and just gave him a dirty look. Multiple times we were told that we had to pay when we hadn’t checked out yet and were still packing, followed by the same dirty looks. Overall we were made to feel very unwelcome throughout the morning , when this was brought up with the other owner he just said this is how she is when stressed and that she can just see jobs piling up! no apology given. So unprofessional!

Edit: Unfortunately google will not let me reply to your response but I do feel I have to mention this as I am quite confused by your reply as it seems untrue. Two other people came and sat outside and drank a coffee with us from your cafe? Which we assumed was acceptable considering it is open to the public. One of them used the bathroom in our room which we did not consider to be a problem at the time but apologise for this inconvenience, we wish you had mentioned this when we specifically asked when checking out if we had done something to offend you so we could have apologised rather than have you make snide comments and remarks towards guests. Your response does make it seem as though 8- 10 extra people were using your facilities which is simply untrue and very disheartening when we were just sat having a drink from your cafe and it was only 2 extra people. Very immature.

Went for a short mid week break. Situated in a lovely small village near to English/Scottish border including lovely countryside and coastal locations. The hosts, Jennifer & Graham were very welcoming & friendly. The room we had was comfortable and clean with a lovely view across the village. Jennifers breakfast were brilliant- juice, cereal, pastries & full English breakfasts. Could not be faulted. We will certainly consider going back in the future. 5 star

Stayed here a few months ago, the rooms were very cozy and the location of the place was good. There was lots to see around the place and we enjoyed walking around the village. The breakfast we got every morning was very tasty. The people working there were really nice and interested in conversation. Everything was a bit of a drive away but it didn't really matter to us. Overall it was a very nice stay. 🙂

Absolutely beautiful B&B. Lovely hosts who were extremely welcoming but also allowing us to enjoy our stay without too much fuss. Delicious breakfast, excellent room with lovely comfortable beds, toiletries and tea and coffee. Graham and Jennifer were the perfect hosts and would definitely return.

The hosts were very friendly and polite. The room we stayed in was large and the room was spotless.|The breakfast consisted of porridge, yogurts, cereal, pastries and a cooked breakfast. They also run the Post Office,Tea Room and a little shop.|Would definitely recommend and I will be returning.
