Cuando entro ya el personal de las Verduras y Frutas me saludan, les pregunto por algún producto y saben donde puedes buscarlo.
Los Cajeros son amigables y sonrientes.
Llevo años en EUA y aquí sigo comprando cada fin de semana.

Very nice! Clean, and neatly organized! The employees here are friendly and professional! If you're a fan of ethnic/international foods, beverages, and other items like I am, you would love this place! There's a nice selection of authentic Polish meats, Latin American foods, and chocolates, beverages, seafood etc., from other countries such as Bangladesh, Lithuania, and Ukraine. There's also a hot foods section similar to that at Mariano's stores. Also available is a bakery area offering a wide selection of breads, cakes, pastries, and even cheesecakes.

It the best grocery store in Chicago, however, bunch of Flys everywhere on the floor and inside produce and sweets bread!, but I love the organic food here definitely it a 5 star lunch and dinner to buy.

Best Polish Deli and Bakery DO NOT LET THE OUTSIDE LOOK STOP YOU FROM VISITING. Amazing veggies so much better than any Jewel. If you miss Gilmart stop here!!!

UPDATE: November 2024 6.5+ years and still shopping here and loving it!. The people are friendly and helpful. The selection is better than any place in the area and the prices far below the local Jewel Foods up the street. I recommend this market strongly!

UPDATE: August 2023 After 5,5 years of shopping here I am always satisfied and frequently amazed with the product availability as well as the personal customer service that I receive.

UPDATE: July 2022 I have shopped here for the last 4.5 years and love this market. Read below for all the reasons and so much more. They just recently issued new receipts that are broken down by department and so easy to read and understand. The staff are a joy and I always leave smiling and knowing that I have some great meals ahead. Thank you Shop & Save so very much!

Best by far. The prices are great and much less than other chain stores along Archer. The selection of Polish, Eastern European, as well as Latino foods is varied and of high quality. I buy many things here that neighboring markets just don't stock. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm basing this review on 2 years of experience shopping here and comparing it to other nearby markets.

The only reason I keep shopping at this store, is because they have a good selection and for things they have that are FRESH and NOT EXPIRED. Their deli section, however, has been a disappointment to me on a number of occasions. I have gone there to buy soups and other prepared items, only to realize that they are DAYS old and still sitting on the shelf. One time when I asked the manager about the shelf life, I was told 5 days...another time I was told 10 days. Seriously?!? Who wants to eat what are supposed to be freshly made deli/prepared items that have been sitting on the shelf for more than 2 days already I often times want to go home and save some for leftovers for another day or two, but can't because the food is already so dated! I have had to return breaded meat before, right after buying it, because my SERATTED knife wouldn't even cut through it because it was so stale! On a couple other occasions, I had to return pastas because as soon as I got home and opened the container, I could smell that it was rancid! Now, whenever I go to the store, I am very careful to check the "packed" date, so I don't needlessly spend my money and have to waste time returning an item(s). Whenever I have brought this up with the manager, I am always told that they will talk to the deli people, but then I go back and it's the same situation. I am just shocked that a grocery manager would think that it's okay to continue to sell deli items that are more than 2 or 3 days (at the most) old...and especially at regular price. Some places will at least hurry up and mark-down items they want to get rid of, before they would expire...or perhaps they should just stop making such big batches/quantities, that they have so much left-over, still trying to sell for days. I told the manager that one day, someone is going to get very sick because of the store's practice and am surprised the health department hasn't already been involved. Just beware, especially if you shop the deli section. I wish I could have given this store a 4 or 5 rating, but for this reason, I just can't.
