Marlene did us an amazing job! After Market Street turned us away, they picked us up with no problem! She couldn't do the cake we wanted due to needing at least a month to order what she needed to accommodate. Understandable, since it was short notice. The job she did was beyond what we had imagined. The cake came out gorgeous!! Thank you so much!

I used to live in Lubbock going to Texas Tech. That was years ago. I worked part time at a big grocery store. I made signs for the weekly sales. But shopping at United Grocery stores , the prices are outrageous high. I buy food at HEB where I live in South Texas. Compared to what I pay for food at home, United prices are highway robbery. Everything I bought at United was at least $1 or $2 more expensive than I pay at home. Prices at home definitely have increased, but if United was my city, they would be forced to close because they would not have any customers. Stuff I buy like basics, milk, cheese, eggs, veggies, fruit, bread, etc all are 10 to 20 percent higher than I pay at home. United competes with Seven eleven for expensive food. I have only shopped at two United Stores, so it could be just those two stores. But Lubbock desperately needs reasonable priced food. Do not be a tourist trap selling food at convenience Store prices to the public just because you have a monopoly on groceries.

I have shopped at this United for years! I do not know who’s in charge of getting the expired food off the shelves but they are definitely slacking! A few months ago, I found a row of expired hard shredded cheese which I pointed out to a worker who was nearby and he promptly removed them from the shelf. My husband and kids went to this United 2 days ago and bought $300 worth of groceries. Among the groceries purchased were a box of honey buns and 6 protein shakes. When I drank a protein shake tonight I noticed a bunch of clumps in them. I looked at the expiration date and it expired March 26 2024. Today is October 3rd! How did it stay on the shelves that long?! I have checked the other shakes and they’re expired too! The honeybuns expired on September 25 which was over a week ago. I am now checking dates on every item they bought from here.

The manager of the meat market is so rude. I went in today and was asking questions bc I’m just learning how to cook and i don’t know much about meat, the guy that was helping me Clayton I believe is what his badge said, got very rude and snippy with me. I have never in my life been so disrespected for asking questions. I went home crying and I cannot believe that a fine place like this would hire someone so rude and inconsiderate. I’ll be praying for his soul.
